Bristol Metropolitan Academy recently took 80 enthusiastic Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) students to the Mendips for an enriching day of navigation training.

In preparation for their upcoming expedition, the adventurous students were eager to develop essential skills in map reading, route planning, and teamwork.

The day unfolded under clear skies, providing the perfect conditions for an intensive yet enjoyable learning experience.

Guided by an expert instructor, students gained valuable insights into effective navigation techniques and problem-solving strategies, equipping them well for their future outdoor challenges.

Students’ commitment and enthusiasm shone throughout the day, earning them glowing reviews from their instructors. Their positive attitude and willingness to engage fully with the training were particularly praised.
